The viewer has been battery tested prior to listing, and found to produce good illumination without light flickering. Also, the focusing mechanism and intraocular adjustment switch work smoothly and flawlessly. There are no chips, cracks or interior corrosion. What looks like smudges or abrasions on the black Bakelite casing are just reflections. The only scratches on the viewer body are very light and are on the bottom as would be expected.
