Fine antique Georgian footed drinks tray properly termed a salver or waiter. It has a simple and elegant moulded rim with bead pattern edges and the trio of cast bracket feet are each decorated with three flutes. The underside is fully hallmarked for Sterling, year 1783, city of London, and with the maker\'s mark of Richard Rugg (Grimwade 2421), London silversmith. Good size and weight, it is a full 7 inches in diameter and weighs 300 grams. Rare item with a very crisp set of hallmarks and well made from heavy gauge sterling, condition is very fine, no monograms or removals with a terrific antique surface that has never been touched a buffing wheel.
