This is a Very Nice and original 1972 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe finished in Walnut dark burstwith it\'s original purple lined hard case. I have been informed there were only a few made in this finish in 1972 which was also the year they brought out a limited run of walnut topped Les Paul Deluxes whose finish does look similair albeit not sunburst. 1972 seems to be a bit of an experimental year for the LP Deluxes.

It is invery good condition but it does have a few marks here and there including a couple of dings on th top and some buckle rash on the back. Neck is pretty good though. Finsih looks very nice in real life and unusual for a Les Paul Deluxe, not sure if the official name is walnut burst or dark burst but it is definitely factory original and pretty rare.

What’s moreit has no breaks or repairs and as it is a 1972 it would be Kalamazoo made with the nice mahogany 3 piece neck plus the ABR-1 style bridge and the early Pat number mini humbuckers.

It plays really well too and the original frets still have meat left on them. There are 2x superb sounding pat number mini humbuckers fitted and all hardware is original and correct except the tuners that are later Klusons, there are no extra holes on the back.

All pots date to 30th week of 1972 and serial number is 727783. Weight is a re-assuringly solid 5.3Kg
