Up for sale is this very nice antique Admiral tube bakelite AM radio in great working condition. The model number on this wonderful radio is 5E22AN & it was produced in the 1950 era. This cabinet is made of dark chocolate marbled brown bakelite & in very nice condition. The cabinet has been cleaned & polished which still retains it original sheen or shine & it does shine very nice. The marbling effect shows best in bright light. I have taken many pictures so you may get a good view at this stunning looking & working radio.The large round & very cool looking AM dial scale is in fantastic condition with great graphics. This radio did not come equipped with a working dial light . The 2 bakelite control knobs are original & in great condition & the dial pointer is in great working condition. The original back panel is in good condition & the loop antenna system that mounts onto the inside of the back panel is in great condition.The chassis is all american 5 tube unit that is in great condition. The tube line up is one-12SQ7 one-12SA7 one-12SK7 one-35Z5 & one-150L6. The 2 controls from left to right are 1-ON/OFF/VOL, & 2- TUNING. All controls have been lubricated & in good working condition. The chassis has had all new electrolytic capacitor/filter installed & all paper/wax capacitors have been replaced & a nice electric cord has been installed. This radio has been restored to great working condition but as with all vintage electronics is being sold in as is conditionWhen this nice Admiral is powered up, it pulls in AM stations all around that super cool looking dial scale & plays them clean & clear with plenty of volume in my area.This Admiral radio would make a super nice addition to your radio collection or as a stand alone radio as it\'s power & beauty will surely be the talk of the room by all whom enter.I have a few antique vintage radios & items listed on at different times so you may want to take a peek now or in the future to see if there isn\'t anything else that you just can\'t live with or with out:-) To see other items click here See other itemsThis is a vintage radio & must be handled & cared for & treated in this manor & not like a modern day boombox.
