A beautiful antique French handcrafted cornelli lace unfinished shawl/or trim. In excellent used condition, no holes or marks with a pretty scolloped bottom edge with a central daisy motif surrounded by smaller daisy heads and scrolls and curls all set onto a fine lawn cotton - all superbly hand crafted, the back is nearly as neat as the front. The top and sides are slightly frayed as they have not been sewn up. This appears to have been cut from a larger piece possibly a curtain but the way it has been cut suggests it was destined to be a shawl. This would also be perfect for re-purposing perhaps as wedding veil, curtain or blind trim, add to a collection etc
