This sale is for a simply gorgeous antique French teens/20s handmade rosette ribbon fragment with a tiny gold metal mesh header. It is in old-fashioned shades of lilac/purple rosettes and fine cording and pale aqua ribbon woven through a very fine and delicate gold metal mesh header (not metallic)....it is authentic metal fibers. This is probably the prettiest color combination I have seen and it is so rich in appearance being of the utmost quality.....its texture is wonderful and it is believed that it is of silk/rayon fibers (you can feel it upon touch)......Please remember that this is very delicate and no rosettes are of the same shape or size. Photos have been taken in natural light with no flash, however, it may not be as intense in color as depicted. It depends on how one\'s monitor is set. This is a very special trim for high fashion couture. It is unique in color combination and the way that it is made with a lovely lilac silk or silk blend fine corded strand.....very classy indeed.............. It has so many uses - millinery use, inside purse frames, clothing embellishment, etc. This has never been used and is in excellent condition....I cannot stress how beautiful it is in person......
This measures approximately 14\" x 1/2\" at widest point (lilac rosette) - 1/4\" next smallest motif and 1/8\" glittery gold metal mesh header. It is approximately 1\" between each lilac rosette....there are a total of 10 (ten).
