This listing is for my personal favorite microphone ever: The Rauland DUO VEL double ribbon microphone Model W-1247 with serial number R 80611!

The Rauland DUO VEL microphone is an enamoring, classic example of Art Deco at its finest! The bold, black, swept back bakelite housing wrapped in beautiful chrome striation and supported by the comparitively petite lines of the supporting yoke is a work of art! It stands 9\" tall from the base of the yoke to the top of the housing, is 3.5\" deep and 3.5\" across at the yoke pivot point. It weighs in at just over 3 pounds!

Since the body is bakelite, most of these beauties did not survive hard use unscathed. This one, I feel, is as good an example as you will find. The housing is in great shape with no cracks or abusive scratches and the chrome is in really fine shape. The original owner was using the mic and the unit shows the proper continuity. There is no cable with this unit. I have tried to provide clear detail in all the photographs. If you have any questions, please do not hesistate to ask.
