A STUNNING LARGE VIZAGAPATAM TABLE BOX WITH \'FAUX TORTOISESHELL\' & DECORATIVE \'CONTEMPORARY MOUNTS\'An uncommonly large table boxes of its type - and one thats in remarkably good condition for its age.The \'faux tortoiseshell\' is complete and laid on a sound sandalwood frame. None of the small angular edge decorations are missing - this is a rare feature on these boxes. I don\'t believe the contemporary decoration is bone but probably another, more desirable material.There is only minor loss to the fretwork decoration - please see the photos which are an integral part of the description.Internally lined in original blue velvet. The outer frameworkf/lip of the box is also decorated, which is a sign of quality.Dimensions: 21cm x 15.5cm x 7.5cm
