A beautifully crafted piece of jewelry this necklace is designed by one of Denmark\'s finest silversmiths, Anton Michelsen.This is on a very long handcrafted sterling silver chain, the pendent holds to large onyx pieces, this is a very bold andstrikingpiece of jewelry, rare.Thechainhangs18\" long, 36\" of chain, the pendent measures 3\" X 2 \". The weight is 64 grams, VERY nice condition no problems.
- Anton Michelsen opened his first workshop in Denmark in 1841 which very quickly became the leading firm of gold and silversmiths. He was a significant influence on Danish jewelry design during the 19th and early 20th century. He became Crown Jeweler and Insignia Maker to the King in 1848. For four generations, the company made jewelry of the highest quality. Silver works from Michelsen, now part of Georg Jensen, are highly prestigious.
