This is a superb gothic carvedwooden oak corbel with the head of a gargoyle ofwhich:

During our research we have been informed it certainlydates from the 18th century and is of a european origin.

Dates about c1780.

Wonderful overall carving of the head of the gargoyle with other decorative & intricate carvings.

Carved in relief.

It hasan overall size of about 3.25 x 2inches.

Max depth of about 1.75Inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is subject only to minor nibbles to the edge only.
