You are offerding on a WONDERFUL LARGE 19c figured rosewood antique restored and repolished document/jewellery box. Dates approximately 1860/1890.

FULLY LOCKS

In WONDERFUL restored condition.

There is no missing or replaced veneer. Couple of slight depressions in the lid which are nothing.

At the left side bottom edge is a lighter area which is all part of the graining, this is not a repair. There is also another light area inside the back left rim.Figured veneer can sometimes go very light in colour.

Original inlaid ashkeyhole escutcheon.

Boxwood inlay to the top, sides, front and back.

Very minor lift of the lid to the front right edge, which is nothing.

Difficult to appreciate until you see it in front of you.

Its just superb and in very good condition!!!!

Box retains the original lock, top catch and hinges. Supplied with a silk tassel and Victorian key that FULLY LOCKS the box.Instruction given once sold.

Beneath the base of the box has also been lined in velvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces.
