This is a superb black forest wooden oak articulated bear carving of which:

During our research we have been informed it certainlydates from the 19th century.

Dates about c1880s.

Of a black forest origin.

An articulated bear carving with:

the jointed arms and legs.

Intricate carved head with the nail eyes.

Portrayed with the open mouth.

String to rear.

It has an overall max size of about 8.5 x 7inches with dangling legs and outstretched arms.

Max depthabout 0.75inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is not subject to:

any major blemishes except:

a minor nibble to the lower part of the mouth.
