This is a superb Staffordshire porcellaneous pekingese dog with the original glass eyes of which:

White & gilt with colouring to the face.

Portrayed wearing a gilt bow.

Mounted onto the decorative base with the embossed english registration number of Rd No. 342571, confirming the date of the c1890s.

It has an overall height of about 7.25inches.

Overall size of about 7.5 x 3.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is excellent and is not subject to any major blemishes except:

has a chip to the base edge at the rear.

Due to age: minor areas of loss of colour with overall fine crazing.
