Superb 19thc Black Forest oak carved bird by tree. Dating c.1870.

Excellent attention to carved detail with large single game bird by tree pen holder. The base is metal to suggest this piece doubles up as a paper weight as well as pen holder. Unusual piece.

Measures some 4\" height x some 3.5\" at base.

Very good age commensurate condition overall with tip of beak missing and bit of damage to some of the branches plus one or two historic worm holes (minor). All as per images.

A superb collectable 19thc relief oak carved Black Forest bird pen holder/paper weight. C.1870.
