This is asuperb 19th centuryBlack Forestoak carved hunting panel in wonderful detail and fine relief.

Excellent attention to detail with a huntsman on horseback hunting a running stag. The stag is superbly depicted withhead thrown back. The huntsman and his horseare also extremely well carved. The horse is powerfully portrayed with a strong neck and head. Treeand castlecarved to background. Stag and horse have open legs.

Measures some 14.5\" x 23\".

Condition is excellent and age commensurate withend of huntsman\'s boot broken off and a couple of minor age cracks - one across horse\'s neck.Nothing of any significance.All as per images.
