This is asuperb 19thcgothicoak carving with devilish head carved to centre and with a small gothic monk-like head carved to either side with the heads facing each other.

Excellent gothic relief carving. Originally from a bellows. Really stunning gothiccarved detail with a swag above the devilish head.The handle originally had a carvedbird but this has been fire scorched and now only part of the body and legs are visible. Reallywonderful and deep relief carving.

Measures some 14.25\" x 9\" max width.

Condition is excellent and age commensurate. Seam down on side of carving - this is either a repair or it may be that the panel was carved in two sections originally. All as per images.
