Description

A fine 18th century Dutch brass and copper Tobacco box, dated 1774.

The top and bottom with wonderful engraved tavern scenes, with patterned borders. The edges banded. The center copper section with engraved insription: \"DV PORT LOUIS GRENIER IEAN LOUIS 1774 GRENIER\".

Would make a wonderful addition to any very good condition with light surface wear commensurate with age and use. One tiny split by the hinge which has a very old solder repair. Lid opens and closes as it should.

17cm length x 6cm width x 3.75cm height.

Returns

In accordance with Distance Selling Regulations, we provide customers with the right to cancel an order within 7 working days of receipt of the goods. You must notify us your intention to do so within this period. Items must be returned in the same state and condition as they were sold in. We recommend you return items using an insured and traceable service, as any liability for loss or damage in transit will be held by the sender. The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for return postage. Once the item has been returned, the original purchase price excluding shipping cost will be refunded.
