Extremelyhandsome and highly impressive,antiquecompass fob in a lovelybrass pocket watch shapedcase.
C ~ early 1900\'s.
Looks to have had very little use (perhaps only high-days and holidays) and its condition certainly reflects this.
Full working paleivory(almost white) coloured dial in wonderful condition showing very little age patina.
Clearly stamped in black script;FOREIGN.
Original, very thick,bevel edge glass (not acrylic)infabulousscratch freecondition with some tiny microdust specs to the underside (only visible if caught in the right light, do not detract but mentioning for accuracy).
CASE;-
Thevery chunky (2.6cm diameter/4.2cm from top of bow to base and 1cm depth)highly polished (please excuse any reflections in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph),originalbrass caseisinsuperb condition(looks to have been very much loved and cared for) withno wear,one extremely tiny,pin prick indentation to back cover onlyandjust overallextremely light andshort littlemicro surface scratchescommensurate with age and use in her100+ years service.
Beautifully shaped to look like an antiquepocket watch case and would be ideal to hang on a pocket watch chain.
Good,original totally unworn bow.
