Being offered is a SuperbAntique "Franziska Hirsch" Dresden "Marie Antoinette" 11 1/2" Pierced Charger. Franziska Hirsch has earned herself a place in the history of decorating high quality porcelain. She was well known for decorating flower bouquets of exquisite detail in the Meissen style from 1893 until 1930 at her studio in Dresden, Germany. This magnificent piece features vibrant multi-floral sprays andsmall pink roses embellished withgold scrollwork, intricate gold detailing and open latticework. The initials MA (Marie Antoinette)are found in the center which are nicely decorated withdelicate pink roses & blue clematis flowers. The chargeris in un-used EXCELLENT CONDITION with no chips, cracks or crazing showing no utensil marks, scratches, wear to the floral decoration or loss of gold. Please note that there are twosmall condition issues : a small repairvery well done and hard to detect unless you examine real closely (see pictures 10,11), a tiny flake on the inner verge (underside) see picture (12).
