Click to Enlarge Dating from the late 1800s this is a superb heavyweight large pure linen antique French trousseau sheet.A wonderful large dowry sheet that would embellish any period boudoir. It could also be used in an upholstery project and the linen is strong enough to be a top bed cover.This pure linen is fresh old white and a tactile tight weave.The hand worked embroidery monogram letters are AL and are embellished with large dots. The monogram display measures 9cms x 10cms and sits 39cms from the edge.The top and bottom edges are turned and hemmed and it is all good and strong with no repairs or wear.The overall measurements areLength 296cmsWidth 206cmsI have not laundered this and have left it just as it came to me after many years stored in a dowry armoire. It will launder superbly.Perfect for a boudoir or a superb way to obtain a large amount of period pure linen for projects.A stunning quality fine linen antique dowry sheet that weighs just under 2 kilos.All the items in my listings, unless described otherwise, are either vintage or antique.
