Item: -Large VictorianScottish 9ct Gold Citrine & Agate brooch pin

Description: - This is a beautiful,Victorian large scottishbrooch witha central citrine / cairngorm, set with agates, and crafted in 9ct gold. On the back of the brooch is a pin and c-clasp, in good working order. As was common on many pieces of jewellery during the victorian period, the brooch is unhallmarked, but has been tested and confirmed to be 9ct gold.There is a registration mark to the reverse, which dates the piece to 26th January 1871.

Period: - 1871

Engraving: - Reg mark: 26th day, year A, Parcel 7, & Month C = 26th January 1871

Measurement: - The brooch measuresapproximately 5.7cm(width) x 3.8cm (height)

Weight: -17.5 grams / 0.56 troy ounces

Condition: - The brooch is in good antique used condition. Some light surface scratches to the brooch commensurate with age. There are couple of nicks to the central citrine / cairngorm. A few of the claws on thesetting holding the citrine require retipping. Pin and c-clasp work perfectly. Scottish agate stones are all in good condition.
