Description
A Superb Antique Victorian Solid Sterling Silver Tankard
This is a superb & early Victorian tanked which has a rolled & flared top rim, curved sides & stands on a round pedestal base
The body of the tankard has a lightly engraved cartouche with embossed flowers & leaf decoration
It has a scroll handle with an acanthus leaf thumbpiece
The tankard is hallmarked on the base for London, date letter I for 1844

"Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater"
Who closed in 1865
Condition
It is in excellent antique condition with just a couple of light bruises around the base rim

Height 10.5 cms (4 1/8")
Approx weight 161 grams
