ITEM: SUPERB Antique SCOTTISH Mixed AGATE HARDSTONE Engraved CIRCULAR KILT PIN

APPROXIMATE AGE:Mid 19th Century

APPROXIMATE SIZE: Thepin measures approximately 2\" in diameter.

ANTIQUE CONDITION:Excellent overallantique condition with only very minor surface wear to the silver frame only that is consistent with age and gentle use.The agate hardstone gemstones are in excellent condition with no visible wear, chips, scratches or damage. The kilt pin is fitted with its original \"C\" style pin back clasp assembly that is functioning correctly and securely. The back shows its original patina and is engraved in fancy script \"W. Y. to M.O.\".

The agates include banded or lace agate, bloodstone, red jasper & a reddish-brown marbleized example. The outer boarder of the pin is extensively and exquisitely engraved in elaborate scroll-work motifs. The top of the kilt pin is fitted with a sterling silver jump ring either to attach a safety chain or a neck chain. Superbantique quality. Far, far nicer than shown!!!
