An antique pair of superb quality french chateau gilt bronze Napoleon 111 hold back hooks in a traditional acanthus leaf design .The casting is very fine with good detail.These have been hand finished the file marks visible on the edges .A good weight 962 grams.The makers numbers are on the reverse. The gilding is in good condition with age related variations in colour.There is a bar across the backplate and a hole in the top for fixing in position.When fixed theyextend from the wall 5.1/2 inches or 13.5 cm approx.The back plate is6.1/4 inches long or 16 cm.These are a gorgeous pair in shabby chic antique condition.
