Exquisite, antique Chinesebasin shaped censer with sublime celadon glaze. Finely rounded body with a smoothbody and everted rim.Beautifully glazedupon a strong, hand pottedform that is most tactilely pleasing. The elegant coloration is further enhanced by areas of magnificent age related crazing to the surface. Very tasteful in the Chinese naturalist aesthetic that scholars so appreciated during the Ming and Qing Dynasty. Displays most elegantly, the significant size lending a sculptural aesthetic from all the way across the room.

Measuresover 10inches across and 5.75 inches tall.In most handsome antique display condition with a sublime patina and minor surface and edge wearcommensurate with age.Dates to the Late Ming to Qing Dynasty. A most tasteful example of the fine celadon glaze work found on antique Chinese porcelain of the period.
