Description Asuperb large-sizeddecorative English antique Victorian solid sterling silvertable box bythe silversmiths Hayes brothers, (1889-98)and with a full set of English silver hallmarks forBirmingham 1894.Excellent quality genuine 121 year old silver box, inlovely condition, handsome size, (not a small pocket sized box),with a hinged lid and decorated with attractive embossed flowers and scrolls. Beautifuloriginal fully gilded interior and with a fine heavy silver weight, approx.144 grams. No engraved monograms,something smallerased from the cartouche at one time and no longer readable.

MeasurementsImpressive size, measures approx.7 inches (178mm)x2inches (51mm) and is1.4 inches (35mm) deep.

Date English antique Victoriansolid sterling silver with a full set of English silver hallmarks forBirmingham 1894(date letter \"u\").Excellent clear matching hallmarks on box and lid.

Maker Silversmiths initials \"HB\", (Hayes Brothers 1889-1898).

ConditionLovelycondition, and the lid hinge works perfectly and the lid opens and closes tightly andsecurely. No splits or cracks to the silver, no solder repairs and no nasty knocks or dents, a couple of very minor shallow surface bruises on the base, really nothing at all. Two tiny little pin/wear holes in the lid decoration, honestly very small. Beautiful original fullygilded interior, still virtually 100% intact. Excellent quality and a good heavy silver weight.Something small erased from the cartouche at one time.
