This isa superb Staffordshire of the male & female figurines with the musical instruments of a flute & tambourine of which:

during our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the mid 19th century.

Dates about c1860s.

Male &female figurines in the wonderful dress attire, both wearing plumed hats.

Both have musical instruments of a flute & tambourine.

Mounted onto the decorative oval base.

Pottery, ceramic.

It hasan overall height of about 5.5inches.

A hollowed base with an overall size of about 2.25 x 1.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall conditionis excellent and is not subject to:

any major blemishes except:

there is a very fine hairline to the rear.

due to age: overall areas of fine crazing.
