A superb Norwegian silverbaptism spoon. It is hallmarked with the 830 standard mark and the makers markof David Andersen used between 1888-1925. I would date this piece to c1890. Its terminal has been cast in the form of StGeorge and its bowl engraved with a leaf design.Itis in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs.It measuresover 4.5 inches (11.5cms) long by over 2.25 inches (6cms) across its bowl and weighs48 grams.A stunning rare piece.
