This is a superb pair of Staffordshire seated copper lustre & white spaniel dogs with the embossed numbers of 3 underneath each, of which:

During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the 19th century.

Date about c1880s.

A wonderful portrayal of the seated spaniel dogs with:

the copper lustre & white decoration.

Superb facial detailing.

Underneath the embossed numbers of 3 each.

Copper lustre collars, locks & chains.

Pottery.

Hollowed bases with the embossed numbers underneath of 3 each.

Each has an overall height of about 8.75inches.

Max basesizes ofabout 6 x 3.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is excellent with no major blemishes except:

both are siubject to chipping under the base to the edge.

Due to age: both are subject to areas of loss of colour, mainly to the noses.
