This is a superb pair of Staffordshire seated white & gilt seated spaniel dogs of which:

during our research: we have been informed they datefrom the 19th century:

date aboutc1880s.

Wonderfulpair of the Staffordshire white & gilt seated spaniel dogs.

White & gilt colouring with the wonderful facial decoration to both with:

the gilt coloured, chains, collars and locks.

A left and a right.

Pottery.

Wonderful overall portrayals.

Each has an overall height of about 8.25inches.

Hollowed bases with an overall size underneathof about 5.5 x 3.75inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is very good with no major blemishes except:

one having a a hairline following the moulding line with:

a further hairline in a similar area travelling through the previous.

Other has a few very fine hairlines to the rear with one travelling to the front.

Due to age: both are subject to rubbing to the gilt with minor areas of loss of colour.

Besides being a very collectable, heavy, pair of 19th centuryStaffordshire seated white & gilt spaniel dogs with the wonderful facial detailing, c1880s,both would also look fabulous displayed.
