This is a superb pair of gothic wooden panels, which join together, with the gothic carvings of the: gargoyles, leaves, berries and other carvings of which:
During our research we have been informed they certainly date from the mid 19th century.
Date about c1860s.
Of a european origin.
A pair of gothic wooden panels which join together.
Both have gothic relief carvings of the gargoyles, leaves, berries and other with the intricate detailing.
Intricate carvings to the curved edges.
Dovetail joins to both with the panels being made up in sections.
A pair of gothic relief carved panels which each has an overall length of about 16 & 12.25inches.
Max heights of about 5.25inches.
Depths of about 1.25inches.
Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition to both is excellent and both are not subject to:
any major blemishes except:
holes throughout their lengths where they were mounted to a wall.
angled ends.
Areas of minor chipping.
Both subject to ageing.
All as per pictures.
Besides being a very collectable, pair of gothic, wooden panels with the relief carvings of the gargoyles, leaves, berries and other, dating from the mid 19th century, c1860s, both would also look fabulous displayed.
