This is a superb pair of Staffordshire seated white & gilt spaniel dog jugs with the gilt bows of which:

During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the mid 19th century.

A wonderful portrayal of the seated spaniel dog jugs with:

the white & gilt decoration and coloured facial detailing.

Each has a decorative gilt bow with the gilt collar around their necks.

Decorative gilt collars with gilt to the handles.

Each has an overall height of about 7.5inches.

Max basesizes ofabout 4.5 x 3inches.

Max dias including handles of about 5.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is:

one is subject to an early glue repair to a handle of which of with today\'s modern & advanced restoration techniques, can certainly be improved.

Due to age both are subject to rubbing to the gilt, facial decoration with overall fine crazing.
