Offered here a simply incredible porcelain figure depicting Napoleon sat upon his magnificent white stead!

Set of course after the famous painting by painted by the French artist Jacques-Louis David between 1801 and 1805. Initially commissioned by the king of Spain, the composition shows a strongly idealized view of the real crossing that Napoleon and his army made across the Alps through the Great St. Bernard Pass in May 1800.

Napoleon raises his hand to the sky, cloak blowing in the wind as his white stallion rears on his hind legs. 

So grand!

Stands an impressive 27cm tall and 22cm wide

Possibly made in Italy, certainly continental - mid 20th century

This piece is in PERFECT condition with no damage whatsoever
