Superb pair of 19thc Black Forest oak carvings of a woodsman and his wife in a forest. Dating c.1870.

Excellent attention to detail on this pair of Black Forest oak carvings. Huntsman carrying a sack over his back as he walks amongst a forest of trees. The other carving shows the wife holding something in her hands with a basket at her feet. She is also amongst a forest of trees. A really unusual and fine pair of Black Forest carvings.

Measures some 10.25\" height x 8\" length x 2.75\" max depth.

Condition is excellent and age commensurate. All as per images.
