Welcome to my sale - Up for your considerationis this impressive antique Persian miniature painting. The painting is done on camel bone with a central medallion featuring the traditional polo scene. What makes this piece stand out is the beautiful detailing around the center scene - a colorful array of floral and paisley designs. The bone is surrounded by a framework of blue with floral motif painted on paper followed by an exquisite Khatam or marquetry inlaid frame which is also inlaid on the outer edge as shown.Although several photos have been provided, they can not do justice to this exceptional piece of art. The painting is mounted on hard board and is signed in a figural style face with initials which is shown in the 6th photo. Exact age of this estate painting is unknown.

CONDITION -Thepainting is in fine, antique, pre-owned condition! Some normal age, painting is quite nice there is some paint loss in the buildings which has been colored in as shown, some blue smears on the painted paper section, lower left corner of frame is missing some pieces as shown.

SIZE- Outside dimensions of frame measure approximately 11 1/4" by 8", inside dimensions are 10" by 6 3/4", bone panel is 8" by 4 7/8".
