Looks to have been much loved and very well cared for and its condition certainly reflects this.
Full working order and isan excellenttimekeeper(within +2/-2 minutesper 24 hours) with plenty of room on the regulator which is sat correctly in the central position) for any further fine tuning.
Fullychecked and serviced (usingMoebius oils)by my highly experienced watchmaker and is guaranteed to be 100% authentic - a timepiece to grace any pale ivory (almost white)clear andbright,high gloss, impressiveand distinctive porcelaindialin very near mint condition-absolutely no marks or nibbles and just two extremely feint little (micro) hairlines showing under eyeglass between 8 - 10 and across sub dial (do not detract in any way, so small are not showing up in the photographs, but mentioning for accuracy).
Clearly signed in bold script in an arc just below the sub dial; SWISS MADE.
Bold, black Roman numerals with black minute markers, bolder black triangular shaped five minute markers and bold black diamond shaped 15 minute markers to chapter ring.
Large sub dial with black seconds chapters and black Arabic numbers.
Original,finely cut, bright blued steelspadeand whip hands andoriginal blued steelarrow tipseconds hand all in good, straight order.
Original, thick, bevel edge glass (not acrylic)in extremely goodclearand bright condition with just two or three very light and short little micro surface scratches (again showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
CASE;-
Thechunky 16 size (5cm diameter/7cm from top of bow to base)very highly polished (please excuse any reflections in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph) 10ct (tested) gold filled, original \'Oreum\' caseis heavy(has a pleasing, solid feel in the hand and total watch weight is a heavy 83.9 grams) andin wonderful condition(again looks to have been very much loved and cared for) with absolutely no wear or indentationsand just overall extremely light and short little micro surface scratches (all usually caused by carrying the watch in a pocket with loose coins etc jangling around) commensurate with age and use in her 70+ years service.
All surfaces both inner and outer retain their original deep, rich mirror finish.
The frontbezel snaps on and off correctly, closing tightly with a very reassuring click.
The back cover and dust cover are hinged at 6, both open correctly to exactly 90 degrees, closing tightly and both large hinges are true and firm with no absolutely play.
The inside of theback cover isclearly and beautifully stamped; \"OREUM\" T.M. No 440948 (trade mark number) and carries the letters; MS within an oblong shaped cartouche.
Also interestingly stamped with a sun and hunting horn emblem within square shaped cartouches.
The inside of the dust cover carries the most wonderful bright \'fish scale\' engine turning (the detail of which remains as crisp and clear today as the day it was made) and is again clearly stamped; \"OREUM\". This is also stamped to the outer case circumference near the number 2 position.
MOVEMENT;-
The stem wound and set, Swiss high grade 15 ruby jewelled, 3/4 fire gilt plate lever movement isin lovely bright and clean order (tiny \'spec\' of age patina showing under eyeglass only to the mainspring barrel cover commensurate with age) and has just been checked and serviced.
Has a solid bi-arm balance wheel (did not want to stop for the camera - showing the balance spring is in perfect beat) with brass balance screws and two brass meantime screws (for precision timing), bright blued steel flat balance spring which is true and \'in the round\', large ruby jewels in chaton settings, rubyend stonein ascrewed in chatonsetting, beautifully engraved balance cock, microwhip regulator (which as mentioned earlier is sat correctly in the central position) and bright steel case screws.
Stamped on the top plates in clear, arched script; SATISFACTION 15 JEWELS SWISS MADE.
Balance action is absolutely tremendousin all positions(could not be any better) and is keepingexcellent timewith a sure, strongpositive action.
Runs like a train!
Windsextremely smoothly and fully (please do not be afraid to fully wind - over-winding is the great horological myth!)
