This is a Mabie Todd Swan SF130 B. SF fountain pen in Black which dates from the 1920\'s. It has a capped length of 10.8cm and is a lever-filler with gold-plated trim.
The barrel imprint reads \'Swan Self Filling Pen. Mabie Todd & Co Ltd. Made in England\'. The model number - SF130 B. SF - can be found near to the end of the barrel. Both section and feed bear the Swan name and the imprint on the flexible Medium nib reads \'Mabie Todd & Co. NY\'. The two barrel bands are gold-plated.
It can be seen that there is a gold-plated band at the top of the cap under which is a brown/orange section. The imprint on the side of the cap reads \'Swan. SF130\'.
The pen is in superb condition. No cracks, scratches or dings, the imprints are as new and there is no surface wear. With regard to the trim, the is just a hint of brassing to one of the barrel bands but otherwise perfect. The nib is locely.
I have overhauled the pen and replaced the sac. The lever operation is smooth, the pen fills nicely and writes well.
This is a really lovely vintage Swan pen which would look at home in any collection. I\'m sure that the buyer will be delighted with it but, as always, a full refund will be offered if he/she is not completely satisfied with the purchase.
