Description A handsomeheavy English antiqueEdwardansolid sterling silvercurb-link doublealbert pocket watch chain by the silversmith John Rose, in lovely conditionand with English silver hallmarksfor Birmingham 1908.Excellent quality genuine109 year oldexample, all matching, witha silver t-bar and a secure silver swivel/dog catch and has a superbheavysilver weight approx 68grams, (total). The chain runs through a large centre ring allowing the chain lengths to be altered as required. Attached is a genuine English Georgian silver one shilling coin fob dated 1828 and also a Queen Victoria silver sixpence dated 1896.

Measurements Great length, measures approx 15.45 inches (387mm)end to end, (excluding the coin) and also 1 inches on the short fob chain.

Date English antique Edwardian solid sterling silver, with silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1908(date letter \"i\") on the t-bar and also the swivel/dog catch, so all matching. There are clear lion passant silver hallmark stamps on all of the chain links too. The 2 silver coin fobs are genuine and 100% sterling silver.

Maker Silversmiths initials \"J.R\" (John Rose), stamped on the t-bar and on the swivel catch.

ConditionLovely conditionwithno splits or solder repairs and with hardly any wear on the chain links. Theswivel/dog catch works perfectly and opens and closes securely with a good strong spring. The silver coin fobs have typical age wear and are genuine antique coins. Excellent quality chain and with a superb heavy silver weight.
