Authentic of the Victorian 19th century era. I cannot stress how difficult it is to find tiny flower print of the earlier era. This is probably the tiniest flower motif print I have ever found....it is of the 19th century and has been salvaged from an old quilt. The cotton is thin and fine, with tiny fragments of cotton thread still attached to the underside. There is some variation of fading along the edge where it was once folded over, hence, its original color from long ago. The opposite side has fragments of another fabric attached which is similar in print, but purplish in shade. This is very old fabric and perfect for the doll costumer in which authenticity is desired. It has a tight weave and its fibers are strong...no signs of deterioration....it has its original tiny self-selvedge on one side, lengthwise.
It measures approximately 16" x 11". Note: I am very limited in fabric....it should also be mentioned that this is NOT pristine white....it is perfect.The size of a flower is a tad over 1/16" - a tad less than 1/8" (varies)....tinyThis is being sold "AS IS".
