A pair of English sterling silver saltspoons with round coffin ends, having afull, well-struck set of hallmarks ofLondon. One of the spoons has a datemark for 1807, silversmith\'s initialsHS in a rectangular cartouche with adot between two letters. Another spoonhas a date mark for 1816, by WilliamEley & William Fearn. Both spoon have asimilar shape and size, no monogram andcan match each other in a perfect pair. These especially attractive andunusual spoons are 4 3/16\" long andweigh a total of 28 grams. The soft,warm, original finish is present, withno buffing or machine polishing. Theexcellent original condition and clear,crisp detail, with no monograms,removals, repairs or alterations, makethis an especially attractive offering. [f4038]
