This is a charming, unusual little piece of Santa Clara polychrome redware, with a triangular top. I\'m guessing 1950s or 60s vintage, but that could be off by a decade in either direction.
At some point, it picked up a clear protective coating of some kind, varnish or shellack, which doesn\'t hurt its appearance at all in my opinion.
