Older side of the MEIJI-Period \"SATSUMA\"by Wang Moon-KILN, 7.5\" tall X 4\" diameter, No chips, cracks, very little Gold loss, a gift from a older lady to me in 1981..!! The first of our 4-SATSUMA\'s we are gong to post. This is beautiful and a very rare type of shape, \"Royal Emperor\" with Guards, bowing man, royal robes, the scenes are raised on this side and other side with his \"Comcubine\"on the reverse side! Lots workmanship, enamel & gold gilding to each human on the 2 sides, just continued Gold brocade motif. The dark parts @ top & bottom are actually part of the designs. SO SO much better looking in person AND the feel of this piece is incredible!! We were told by the human who gave it to us her Great-grand-father brought it back from WW-1 he was stationed in China as a Trainer pilot and brought home for his wife (her mothers, mother!) Meiji period is from 1868 to 1921, so even if it was new in 1921 it\'s old, however the family story is he won it from a older Japanese Ambassadors Office Official, who said it had been his Grand-Fathers! Have some old provenance we will put in w/shipment. Christmas Tag from 1981, piece of paper w/Wang Moon/kiln & measurements, etc...Stay tuned a smaller one and two matching mirrored square ones coming soon! Picture order is front 1st, side, back, side, top, bottom. Additional mark in beddedin bottom of vase very old SATSUMA pressed in mark in Japanese. Very 3-D to the touch, the Royal Robes are puffy, great detail to the eye & hand while holding!!!
