THIS COMES FROM A COLLECTOR WHO HAS RETIRED.

THIS IS A RARE PIECE OF BALTIMORE & OHIO RAILROADCHINABYSCAMMELL\'S LAMBERTON, 1827 - 1927.

THE CHINA PIECEOFFERED HERE IS:

ONE SMALL DESERT / SALADBOWL

MEASUREMENTS:

5 1/8\" WIDE FROM OUTSIDE RIM TO OUTSIDE RIM

1\" DEEP FROM OUTSIDE BOTTOM TO THE TOP OF THE RIM

ILLUSTRATED ON FRONT IS THE CARROLLTON VIADUCT, 1829.

THE COLORS ARE WHITE/ OFF WHITE & COBALT BLUE, RESEMBLINGTHE FLOW BLUE PATTERN.

MANUFACTURER\'S MARK / BACKSTAMP:

SCAMMELL\'S / DESIGNED PATENTED

BACKSTAMP ON THIS PIECEIS THE VERY FAMILIAR CAPITOL LOGO WITH THE WORDS \"DESIGN PATENTED\" APPEARING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STAMP.

THE BACKSTAMPCHRONOLOGICALLY:THIS BACKSTAMP APPEAREDFROM THE VERY LATE 1920\'s UNTIL 1954 WHEN THE SCAMMELL\'S SOLD OUT TO STERLING CHINA AND THE LAMBERTON PLANT WAS CLOSED.

THIS HAS A NICE GLAZED FINISH WITH NO CRACKS NOR CHIPS OBSERVED. SOME OBSERVED CRAZING ON THE BACK SIDE IN THE CENTER ONLY. THERE ARE SOME UTENSIL MARKS FROM NORMAL USAGE.
