Original, WW2 era Legion of Merit, Legionnaire, period engraved to Samuel Cullen. Full wrap brooch. Original ribbon, and case. The medal measures approximately 1 7/8” across. HEAVY tarnish overall. Age darkening to enamel. Enamel is intact and not chipped. The gilt is less than 50% present. The base metal appears to be silver, but it is not marked to metal content. Light wear and storage marks. The ribbon is worn and frayed. The case is soiled and the velvet is frayed and soiled in places. Lots of scuffs and scrapes to the case. You are buying the material pictured.
