This listing is for an antique vintage hickory shaftright handed38 3/4\"iron.Marked Korecta Reg. Warranted Rustless Iron Guaranteed Hand Forged. Made by Stadium golf-has their S Anchor cleek mark and 1 on the back as well. Also Finnigans Ltd London-the retailer. Marked 1 and The Nine Range on the sole. Not sure what The Nine Range refers too-number of mountains in the Scottish Grampian Range? Stadium golf was in the golf manufacturing business in London for a brief period of time in the mid to late 1920\'s. They specialized in unusual and unique clubs that were considered before their time. Unfortunately the mass market for their unusual masterpieces wasn\'t there so they went out of business. The Patented Korecta irons are quite different in that they have a peaked top line with a slot in it. Presumably this would assist in centering the ball and aligning the shot. The faces are also interesting in that they have a center circular aiming ball with lines as well.This is a very scarce iron.The Value Guide hasKorecta irons listed at $250. Thishead is in goodclean usedcondition.It hasthe expectedplay marks and dings. Please look at the zoom pictures for a better idea of condition.The shaft isan oldmarked hickory.It is straight,I see no cracks and has some playatthe hosel (all hickory shaft irons should be reset before play).The grip isan old long leather wrap that is in good vintage condition. 19* loft and C 8swingweight if you are considering play.Very hard to find iron.
