We have what looks like an older Schatz Ships Bell mounted into a wooden ship\'s steering wheel. Total diameter of clock & wheel is approx. 26\". It is rather heavy (around 15lbs) & would need strong anchors to be hung on the wall. The Clock says \'Schatz\', \'SHIPS BELL\' at top, \'8 DAY 7JEWELS\' in center, and \'Made in West Germany\' on the lower arc of the face. I am not familiar with these clocks or how they are supposed to work. I have figured out how to wind it without a key & it has begun ticking regularly & ringing various numbers of rings quietly (not super quiet, but not as loud as grandfather clocks we\'ve had) on the hour and 1/2 hour. There is some wear to the wood that I\'m not sure is authentic/intentional or just age & it is in need of a polish, but seems to be in good condition.Selling as is. Buyer pays shipping and insurance.
