Click to View Image Album Circa 1912 tin, or steel, 5 piece floor train set by Schieble is about 64” long. The 2-4-2 loco only is 6 ½” long, 7” tall, 4 5/8” wide. It is technically not a Hillclimber, as this version was sold without the friction motor, as it could not pull an entire train. It is the same body as the motorized version. The gondolas are 12 1/8” long. The caboose is 12 7/8” long. Marked S.T. & N. CO. 1912 SPECIAL. This whopper under the Christmas tree must have really thrilled some little boy! The set is original and complete, except one axle is replaced and the wire hook couplers are gone.
