Scottish Antique: Georgian Cow Horn Cup - Tiny Oddity - Medicine Dose? Whiskey?Description:I offer here an antique Scottish cow horn cup. It is lightly polished, brown opaque horn with a fine honey-colored age patina. It is quite early, dating to the Georgian Era, 1820 -1830. It is only 1 3/4\" tall. I believe it might have been a medicine dosage cup - or it could be for a wee nip of whisky for an equestrian.The set-in bottom appears to be cork. I have never seen one like this - a real curiosity. Please enlarge my photos. I find no damage.
