Seiko LCD Alarm-Calculator Watch model C359-5000.The watch has serial number 983943 indicating an August 1979 manufacture.I bought the watch some years ago as an NOS item and apart from some handling marks there is no obvious sign of watch being worn.The watch works perfectly with all buttons operating smoothly and the LCD display is crystal clear with fading, no bleeding or misoperating segments.The light also works perfectly.The watch comes in its original case with hanging tag, bracelet tag and the all important original Seiko Stylus/Pencil.The reason why I am listing the watch for parts is a few months ago the display started to get dim and eventually showed no numbers after a number of weeks. I thought it was the battery so I changed it but this made no difference. I bought a NOS Seiko display and installed that but the watch numbers did not appear initially. Only after an hour or so did they appear. This was about 6 months ago and there has been no problem since. As mentioned previously all functions including the calculator and alarm work perfectly.Purchase of the watch is based on the watch not working and it is priced accordingly. I will included the original LCD display as part of the price.Shipping to locations other than US may be considered.
