In1881KintaroHattori founded a trading company for Swiss watches in Tokyo. In1892hefounded the company Seikosha Co., where initially only wall clocks wereproduced, before from1895alsopocket watchesand from1899watcheswithalarmfunction were made. From1913there was also amanufacturing ofwristwatches.
The brandname \"Seiko\" (Japanese:precision) was first used on watch dialsin1924and is officially used since the founding of the DainiSeikosha Co. in1937. In1959Seiko founded the company DaiwaKogyo Ltd., which was later renamed to Suwa Seikosha Co. These twocompanies, Daini Seikosha and Suwa Seikosha, continued to produce Seiko-brandedwatches in an internally-competitive basis. Eventually, Daini became SeikoInstruments, Inc. (SII) andSuwa became Seiko Epson Corporation. Today, the Seiko Watch Corporation belongsto the Seiko Corporation as a subsidiary of the electronics giant Seiko Epson.

This Seiko Speedtimer is a classic and best selling early 70\' chronograph watch. It has a wonderful deep ocean blue dial which make contract to the gold chrono subdials and the red seconds and chrono hands.
It isin overall VERY GOODcondition(**** from *****). Except the hardly visible wear and tear of the years passed no other annoyingmarkson dial, front case and crystal.
Note that I\'m a seller who dare to post GIANT photos, instead of small pictures, where anyone could see even the smallest detail. In the original / actual size those details definitely are invisible!
